From conception to Childhood… The formative years

As parents we have the ability to impact our children like no one else is able. With the right choices we forge a solid foundation that will set the pace for the rest of their lives. “A healthy start” addresses the critical and formative years; from conception to the age of five. To a very large degree, our children’s emotional, psychological and physical health is set in place at this stage.
The magnitude and responsibility of this fact can be overwhelming.
As an expectant mother, we wonder if we are eating enough of the right things.
Once the little one is here, if breastfeeding we worry if our milk supply is sufficient.
If breastfeeding is not an option, we question which formula is best. The perhaps the most challenging time; when our baby begins to eat.
How do we get our little ones to prefer vegetables to sweets?
How can we make eating veggies fun?
Is the water that we are giving our baby pure and clean?
What is the safest cleaner to use in our baby’s room?
We have these and a thousand other questions. This page is for the aware and health conscious parent that is striving for more education on the safest and healthiest of choices to make for their children. We at “a healthy start” will research your questions and give you the most up to date information available to us. We also look forward to you sharing your experiences and insights.
